Manual Buttonholes
The manual buttonhole allows you to make buttonholes in any size you want, such as those for very large buttons. This stitch is the second of 3 stitch selections used to create a manual buttonhole. After the top bartack and left side of the buttonhole have been sewn in step 1, this stitch sews the bottom bartack and then sews a straight stitch in reverse. Sew the reverse stitch until you come to the top bartack, then proceed to the next stitch selection. Use a Satin Stitch Foot so the dense stitches pass freely underneath.
