Sunburst Stitch
The Sunburst Stitch is a decorative stitch that can be used alone or in combination with other decorative stitches to create unique embellishments. Due to the density of the stitches, it may be helpful to use a Satin Stitch Foot as well as a stabilizer under the fabric so the stitching will pass freely underneath the presser foot without puckering.

Experiment with various types of thread such as rayon thread, all-purpose thread, metallic thread, topstitching thread, or even 30wt and 12wt cotton.
