Yes, it mimics the action of a serger by trimming and enclosing the seam allowance with an overcast stitch, preventing fabric from fraying.

This attachment is compatible with most low-shank SINGER sewing machines. It is not intended for use on heavy-duty or computerized models without specific compatibility.

You simply remove the standard presser foot and holder, then attach the Side Cutter directly to the presser bar of your machine.

The Side Cutter works best on light to medium-weight fabrics. It is not recommended for very heavy or delicate materials.
