Frequently Asked Questions - PFAFF Non-Stick Foot for IDT System

This foot is designed for sewing on materials that tend to stick to a standard metal foot, such as vinyl, oilcloth, laminated fabrics, and leather.

The foot has a special non-stick coating (similar to Teflon) on its underside, which allows it to glide smoothly over sticky or textured surfaces without dragging.

The IDT™ System works with the foot to provide an extra layer of feeding from the top, ensuring even the most difficult materials are fed through smoothly and without puckering.

This foot is specifically designed for PFAFF sewing machines that are equipped with the original IDT™ System.

It depends on the fabric. The Non-Stick Foot is excellent for smooth, sticky surfaces, while a roller foot may be better for uneven or heavily textured materials like faux fur.
