Specifications

How To Use:

Piecing:


1. Snap on the Clear 1/4" Right Guide Foot.


2. Engage the IDT™ system.


3. Select a straight stitch.


4. Place the fabric right sides together under the presser foot with the guide at the edge of the fabric.


5. Sew the blocks together, guiding the edge so that it touches the right guide.



Topstitching: Achieve a perfect 1/4" topstitch distance from the edge of a block quilting, on your garments, or home decor projects.


1. Snap on the Clear 1/4" Right Guide Foot.


2. Engage the IDT™ system.


3. Select a straight stitch, triple straight stitch or the hand-look straight stitch quilting stitch.


4. Place the quilt under the presser foot with the flange guide in the seam ditch or at the edge of the fabric block.


5. Sew around the block and you will get a perfect 1/4" distance from every block edge.



Note: With any of the 1/4" Right Guide Feet with IDT™ system attached to machines with manual presser foot lift, we recommend not lifting the presser foot to the extra high position. This can cause the needle threader to touch the guide on the presser feet. With the needle set to down position, we recommend lifting the presser foot only as much as needed while pivoting so that the fabric can be turned freely.

This foot is designed for PFAFF sewing machines equipped with the original IDT™ System. It ensures perfect fabric feeding for precise 1/4" seams.

The transparent material provides excellent visibility, allowing you to see the fabric and guide it accurately, especially when starting, stopping, or pivoting at corners.

The metal guide on the right side of the foot runs along the edge of your fabric, making it effortless to achieve a consistently perfect 1/4 inch seam allowance for quilt piecing.

The IDT (Integrated Dual Feed) System feeds fabric from both the top and bottom simultaneously, preventing layers from shifting and ensuring perfect seams on all fabrics.

While it's a quilter's favorite, the 1/4 inch foot with a guide is also fantastic for any project requiring a precise narrow seam allowance, such as doll clothes and heirloom sewing.
