I began sewing 5 years ago after watching my Amish friend making a beautiful dress in her living room, completely from scratch. From that moment, I was immediately captivated by sewing! I came home and asked my grandma to teach me everything she knew about sewing. She’s a frugal, creative woman who learned how to sew by using whatever she had around the house to create beautiful garments. This began my obsession of upcycling thrifted outfits, sewing with old bed sheets, and creating my dream wardrobe! After learning the basics and making a few simple summer dresses, I began my YouTube channel to inspire people to sew. I wanted to show people how sewing can be fun and SIMPLE! I now enjoy drafting my own patterns, sewing timeless pieces for my wardrobe, and bringing others along on my sewing journeys online!
Blue floral dress thrift flip
Blue floral dress thrift flip - I bought this dress for $3 from the thrift store and saw potential! I created a routed bust, shortened the skirt, and attached straps to make a beautiful, modern summer dress!
Plaid romper - Believe it or not, this entire romper was made from $1 bed sheets that I found from the thrift store! I had been wanting to make a plaid romper for a long time and couldn’t resist when I found these bed sheets! Don’t worry, I washed them first of course!
Green jumpsuit (front and back) - This minimalist linen jumpsuit is one of my favorite makes! I took inspiration from several different jumpsuits that I saw online. I combined all my favorite parts of each jumpsuit and created a pattern perfectly tailored to my body and my unique style!
