HUSQVARNA® VIKING® needles are conveniently color-coded to help you identify the type and size at a glance. For example, a red band indicates a Universal needle, and a specific color on the shank corresponds to its size.

You should change your needle after approximately 8 hours of sewing or before beginning a new project. A dull or bent needle is a common cause of skipped stitches, fabric pulls, and a clunking sound from your machine.

A HUSQVARNA® VIKING® Topstitch Needle has an extra-large eye and a larger groove to accommodate thicker topstitching threads. Use it to create beautiful, pronounced stitch definition when topstitching on projects like bags and jeans.
