This style of buttonhole is designed for light to medium weight knit (stretch) fabrics. The buttonhole has a small amount of stretch, making it a good choice for these fabrics. Use a light tear-away stabilizer underneath to stabilize the fabric as you sew, to eliminate fabric puckers or distortion. Use a Ball Point Needle with stretch fabrics, to prevent skipped stitches.
